Climate is the average weather in given vicinity over an extended time period. A summary of a climate includes details on, e.g. the average temperature in different seasons, rain-process of evaporation and condensation, and sunshine.

Climate change: There are different causes for climate change they could be natural or external forcing (changes in the Earth’s natural orbit, or changes in the solar radiations, natural internal processes of climate change) or it can be human included. It consist both global warming driven by emission of green house gases and the ensuing large-scale shifts in weather patterns. Though there have been a preceding intervals of climatic change, since the mid-20th century humans have had an unprecedented impacts on climate system and caused change on worldwide scale.
Climate change mitigation: it consist of actions to limit global warming and its associated consequences. This involves reduction in human emission of green house gases as well as activities that lessen their concentration within the atmosphere.

Green house gas reduction:

Example: Kyoto protocol the Canadian target to reduce green house gases. With this target Canadian agreed to commit to reduce their emission in tons to 6 percent below 1990 levels between the period of 2008 to 2012.

Carbon dioxide can be captured directly from industrial sources such as cement kiln, by using a variety of technologies; including absorption, adsorption, chemical looping, membrane gas separation or gas hydrate technologies. Most carbon capturing processes are industrial; industries such as cement steel making and fertilizers production are hard to de carbonizes.
Carbon sequestration: The next module the next category of climate change mitigation strategies that will introduce is carbon sequestration. So like carbon capture and storage carbon sequestration involve taking carbon out of atmosphere after it has been produced by fossil fuels, combustion or organic matter decomposition. In contrast carbon sequestration involves the capacity of the photosynthesizing plants to absorb carbon from the air bind it into their tissues. There are two basic methods of carbon sequestration geological carbon sequestration and biological carbon sequestration. Geological sequestration is the process of storing carbon dioxide (co2) in underground geological formations. The carbon dioxide is usually suppressed until it become liquid, and then it is injected into porous rocks formation in geological basins. This process of carbon storage is also sometime a part of intensified oil recovery, otherwise known as tertiary recovery because it is typically used later in the life of producing oil well. In enhanced oil recovery, the liquid co2 is injected into oil bearing formation in order to reduce the viscosity of oil and allow it to flow more easily to oil well. Biological sequestration: refers to storage of atmospheric carbon in vegetation, soil, woody products, and aquatic environments. For example, by encouraging the growth of plants-particularly larger plants like trees-advocates of biological sequestration expect to help eliminate carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
Geo engineering: The final category of climate change mitigation is really a controversial one that is geo engineering. Geo engineering is to intentionally attempts to directly manipulate the earth’s climate. This is typically done on a pretty grand scale in order to affect the climate as whole. Geo engineering falls into the category of mitigation because the influence the quantity of green house gases into the atmosphere. An example is feudalizing the oceans so that the algae can grow and multiply taking in more carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. The other set of geo engineering responses are lot closer to adaptation because they address the warming affects of changing climate. Example is injecting Sulphate aerosols particles into the stratosphere and these help to block out of the part of sun rays .This scheme have attracted heavy criticism for the possible side effects even these side effects are not severe to. This could contract the effect of a greater quantity of green house gases in the atmosphere without actually reducing emissions level or concentration.
