Covid-19 is uplifting online business concept, e-commerce and steering digitization in Pakistan to enhance IT sector and trade. Due to technology, Covid-19 brought dramatic changes in the global economy. These pandemic diseases changed many things and these changes were new innovative, informative, acquire knowledge and facilitated to the peoples in these intense difficult times. Some of the changes like the businesses converted onto digital media, business meetings converted over the internet as well as schools, colleges and universities are moving onto the online system. In these pandemic diseases, technology played a crucial role in people’s life and people adaptive this change, and this change boost their businesses and most of the businesses converted onto inbound media. Due to pandemic diseases people were facing hurdles because everything was being closed to be saved from hazards. Businessmen were facing losses while countless companies have struggled or collapsed due to covid-19 but the only success Covid-19 got is boost online shopping among the people and online shopping ratio is being amazingly increased. Pakistan’s e-commerce and digital economy have registered a huge boost in sales during the corona virus and online sales surged through corona virus lockdowns.
In Pakistan, people are not much aware about online shopping the reason behind is that 40% of the peoples are living over the poverty line. Online shopping was not common just a few websites were landscape in online market era for instance Amazon, Daraz, and Ali Baba, etc. Moreover, Ali Baba is one of the global pandemics biggest winner Chinese e-commerce giants first quarter profit more than doubled to nearly 7 billion that’s after the corona virus pandemic sped up the country’s shift towards more online shopping. Some of the numerous brands are doing CSR to help the people and make a value in consumer’s mind and this act would create the loyalty of the brand. Meanwhile, they launched mask and sanitizers also for safety precautions and they gather innovative ideas and advertise own product over inbound media and attract the customers. we were far away to digital marketing as compare to other independent countries due to covid-19 now we are at least 50% with them means converted on digital marketing.
Everything was closed in lockdown but the basic items, necessities, and food were required in the initial stage. Then people turn to physical buying to online buying through this act people felt safe and they get the order at their own door step. Subsequently, government announced to open the shops and allowed for limited time to fulfill the basic necessities items with following Sop’s. But people felt safe with online shopping and people are not just ordering online grocery, they are also buying clothes, jewelry, furniture and many more items. Even in Eid-ul-Adha days they did order online for slaughter the animal too. This Covid-19 creating a lot of online jobs in lockdown. Mostly people get cash on delivery service to provide the things to people and through it we also get know about how is the good way to make use of technology and now people can order online anything from home easily. So, this is basically how people started trusting and moved their interest towards online business and shopping.
