My country name is Islamic Republic of Pakistan. It is located in the south of Asia. It is the world's fifth most populous country with a population exceeding 212.2 million, and has the world's second largest Muslim population. Pakistan is the thirty-third largest country by area, covering 881,73 square kilometers.
I was born in Hyderabad, but currently I'm living in Islamabad. Now I have have some beautiful memories with Islamabad. It became the capital city in 1960 by Ayub Khan. It is the nineth largest city of Pakistan. It has fourth largest population of about 3.2 million
Places to visit in Islamabad
1. FAISAL MOSQUE
Faisal mosque is located in Islamabad. It is the fifth largest mosque in the world and the largest within the south Asia. The construction began in 1976 by National Construction of Pakistan, led by Azim Khan and was funded by the government of Saudis Arabia, at a cost of over 130 saudi riyal.
The monument of Pakistan is a national monument and heritage museum located in western Shakarparian Hills in Islamabad, Pakistan. The monument was constructed to symbolize the unity of Pakistani people. It was completed on 23-March-2007 by Syed Hasham Khalid.
3. MARGALLA HILLS
The Margalla Hills is a range which is a part of the Himalayan foothills located within the Margalla Hills National Park, north of Islamabad, Pakistan. The Margalla range has an area of 22,605 hectares. The hills are a part of Murree hills. It is a range with many valleys as well as high mountains.
4. DAMN E KOH
Damn e Koh is a viewing point and hill top garden, north of Islamabad and located in middle of the Margalla His.
5. LOK VIRSA
Lok Virsa is a cultural museum which depicts art works and different culture in one place. It was established in 1974 and became an autonomous institute. Every day, over 3000 visitors come here to see different art works.
6. RAWAL LAKE
Rawal lake in Pakistan is an artificial reservoir that provides the water needs for the cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. It is located in Margalla Hills National Park. It covers the area of almost 8.8 square kilometers and it's maximum depth is 102 ft.
